New companions, new leads

The group continued their search, and after a few days without any new leads the gruop began to lose hope, just as two new companions joined the group: A druid called Lirael and a Hafling sorcerer. The two arrived in the city to investigate the recent cases of vampiric activity that had infested the forest, and their own search had led them to Garenos. They joined forces with the group, and continued their search of the sewers where Zyklas had been found. There, they found an unexpected horror as the group found a hidden shrines to the goddess Wee Jas built by a heretical cult of the goddess. After searching the ruins and marvelling at its horrors and restless spirits, they found the true source of the horrors: a secret shrine to the dark god of death Nerull. Here, the group was then ambushed by the vampires once more, and they battled the vampire’s minions: a mhorg, several zombies and more vampire spawn. The battle was fierce, and in order to save his companion’s lives, the sorcerer decided to sacrifice his own life for the sake of his companion’s by setting off all the beads on his Necklace of Fireballs. After a ground shaking roar, the vampires and the halfling were no more.

The investigation

The search for the culprit began. Thanks to a few clever ideas, the group begins to search the sewers where Zyklas’ corpse had been found. There, they discovered that the body had been planted by the would be murderers. Despite unsuccessfully questioning a seagull, the group discovered the whereabouts of Zyklas’ home and found out the man had been poisoned to the point of losing consciousness and removed from his home. The investigation continued, but without a key element to to find a link to the various leads and theories.

A New Lead

As the group returned to Garenos, they soon noticed something was quite amiss. Their return was soon greeted by a set-up. Whilst visiting the [[Arcanist’s Guild]] , the group demanded to see the office of Garileth, who had gone missing in the past few days. Unwittingly, the group stpped onto a portal plate that took them to an artificial cave outside of town, where they were soon attacked by a band of vampire spawn. The party fought them off, but could not wipe out the vampires themselves. They continued to explore the cave, and found evidence that they were being observed by unknown subjects. They returned to Garenos, only to find out that Zyklas, librarian of the Arcanist’s Guild had been slain, well before they arrived in town, and had been replaced by an impostor. Neither could be found, and so, a massive investigation to find out the whereabouts of both began.

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
